JAMMU, Sept 11: Epileptocon-2024, an update on Pediatric Epilepsy organized by Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP), was held here today.
Around 250 delegates from various fields including Pediatricians, Intensivists, Neurologists, Physicians, residents and MBBS students from multiple medical colleges in North India attended the event.
The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Dr Ashutosh Gupta, Principal and Dean, GMC, Jammu.
Dr A S Bhatia, Principal GMC, Rajouri, Dr Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal ASCOMS, Dr SK Gupta, Eminent Neurologist, Dr Sudheer Dhar, Dr Ashok Gupta, and Dr Rekha Harish were the guests of honor.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ashutosh appreciated the efforts of IAP for organizing the academic feast and stressed upon the conduct of such events in future for the benefit of young doctors.
Dr SK Gupta shared his view during the proceedings regarding the latest management of Pediatric Epilepsy.
During the event, Dr Anuj Bhatti delivered a lecture on neonatal seizures, while updates on pediatric epilepsy were shared by Dr Pawan Kumar.
Interactive sessions with the audience were conducted by Dr J S Goraya, Dr Gurpreet S Kochar and Dr Ashna Kumar. Dr Ritu Gupta foundation felicitated Dr Suresh K Angurana, son of the soil for his contributions to pediatrics in general and pediatric critical care in particular.
The event was successfully organized under the supervision of Dr G S Saini and Dr Ravinder K Gupta, Dr Vikas Mahajan and Dr Sushil Sharma were the organizing secretaries.
