MHA orders major bureaucratic reshuffle

JAMMU, Sept 12: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle in the AGMUT Cadre, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, has ordered the transfer and posting of 33 IAS and 45 IPS officers.

Under the reshuffle, one IAS officer and three IPS officers have been transferred from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, while 2 IAS officers and as many IPS officers have been posted back in the region.
Similarly, one IAS officer and 1 IPS officer have been transferred from the Union Territory of Ladakh and three IAS officers and 2 IPS officers have been posted back in the region.
As per an order issued in this context, IAS officer Prerna Puri has been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir to the Union Territory of Chandigarh, IPS Mahender Nath Tiwari has been transferred from J&K to Delhi, and IPS officers Altaf Ahmed Khan and Shivam Siddharth have been transferred from J&K to Mizoram.
The order said that IAS officers Rupesh Kumar from Chandigarh and Shahzad Alam from Delhi and IPS officers Sheikh Junaid Mehmood from Ladakh and Bisma Qazi from Delhi have been transferred to Jammu and Kashmir.
The order further said that IAS officer Amit Sharma has been transferred from Ladakh to Mizoram and IPS officer Sheikh Junaid Mehmood has been transferred from Ladakh to Jammu and Kashmir while as IAS officers Sanjit Rodrigues from Goa, Bhupesh Chaudhary and Shashanka Ala from Delhi and IPS officers Gaurav Sharma from Delhi and Fulzele Piyush Nirakar from DNH&DD have been posted in the UT of Ladakh.
