JAMMU, Feb 8: Kaneez Fatima, President, IAS Wives Association alongwith Arunima Sinha, Secretary and Ridhima Bhagat, Treasurer today visited the Old Age Home Ambphalla
The Old Age Home is managed by the Managing Secretary Vijay Kumar Bhagotra. He explained the activities and the routine of the inmates.
Kaneez Fatima  said that Old Age  Homes are a great service to society, however it also shows  the callous attitude of the children who have abandoned their parents in their hour of need. She urged the civil society to become more sensitive to the needs of the elderly as Grandparents are the biggest blessing to any family.
“The Secretary Arunima Sinha, who is also Art of Living Teacher conducted a meditation session for the inmates.  She also taught them yoga. The inmates found the meditation session very relaxing and urged the members to visit them more frequently.
“I have smiled after so many years”, said Shanti Manhas one of the woman inmates.  Ridhima Bhagat suggested for some recreational activities for the inmates.
