ICAI JK Branch celebrates 75th foundation day

JAMMU, July 1: The J&K Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) celebrated its 75th foundation day today.
The celebrations started off with flag hoisting ceremony at ICAI Bhawan, Canal Road, Jammu which was followed by tree plantation and then blood donation camp in collaboration with the Department of Blood Transfusion and Immunohematology (GMC Jammu).
A large number of Chartered Accountants as well as students participated overwhelmingly and donated their blood. A free health checkup camp was also organized by O-Lab Diagnostic Centre, Channi Himmat, Jammu.
Former minister and senior BJP leader Sat Sharma, while attending the function, greeted the participants on CA Day and lauded the role of chartered accountants in Nation Building. Further, he applauded the J&K Branch of ICAI for celebrating 75th CA Day in which various activities were under taken such as Yoga Day, Walkathon at Manda, Blood Donation and Health Checkup.
Vikas Purdhani, chairman of J&K Branch of ICAI, in his inaugural address, emphasized on the importance of the CA Day. He urged the members to once again pledge their allegiance to the great CA profession and rededicate themselves to its services as well as the lofty ideals put forth by those who have went before them.
Vineet Kohli (vice chairman), Sourav Pargal (secretary), Ayush Sawhney (treasurer), Priya Seth and Nakul Saraf (immediate past-chairperson) along with a large number of Chartered Accountants and CA students took part in the celebrations.
