JAMMU, Nov 24: The QRT meeting of ICAR-IIFSR, including AICRP on Integrated Farming System, was held at SKUAST Jammu under the chairmanship of Dr O P Singh, former Vice Chancellor of JNKVV, Jabalpur.
During the two-day long meeting, regular works done under these projects in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Jammu & Kashmir were reviewed and new directions were discussed.
The committee, comprising of learned experts, visited the farmers field in Badikhad and Meencharka under Tribal- sub- Plan and On – Farm programme of AICRP-IFS to discuss and visualize the On-Farm Farming system, including entrepreneurship development of rural youth through IFS activities by SKUAST Jammu.
QRT team comprised of Dr D P Singh, Dr M L Chadda, Dr P K Mahapatra, Dr R S Tripathi, Dr C Jyanthi, Dr D R S Damroy and Dr N Ravisankar as Member Secretary. The meeting and visit to field was coordinated by SKUAST Jammu Team comprising of Dr Dileep Kachroo, Dr A K Gupta, Dr N P Thakur, Dr P Kumar, Dheeraj Rajwal, Gh Mohamad, and A W Katoch.
