ICDS Udhampur organizes mass awareness programme

UDHAMPUR, Nov 20: Mass awareness camp was organized by ICDS Project Udhampur where Anganwadi workers, Anganwadi helpers and locals participated.
The camp was organized to make people aware about the ICDS schemes and its six services; namely Immunization, Supplementary Nutrition, Nutrition and Health Education, Referral Services, Non-Formal Pre Education and Health Checkup.
People were made aware through demonstrations and charts.
Speaking on the occasion, CDPO Udhampur Amit Singh Manhas said ICDS services meant totally for people and they should cooperate to avail all the benefits from the scheme. He laid stress on community participation for smooth functioning of Anganwadi centres in the area. In future, we will organize more such camps for mass awareness in different Panchayats for effective community participation and increasing the strength of beneficiaries of Anganwadi centre, he added.
