JAMMU, Oct 26: The ‘Technical Knowledge Dissemination Week’ organized by IECS Polytechnic concluded here today.
On this occasion a two days workshop was conducted by NIIT for the students of Computer Engineering, Electrical, Electronics and Communication Departments on the topic ‘Basics of Programming Language, Android Technology and Computer Networking’.
Rahul Sharma, Director, NIIT and a team of experts were resource persons. The workshop was followed by an aptitude test for students. The students were also provided participation certificates certified by NIIT.
An extension lecture on the topic ‘Exploring Avenues in Civil Construction Machinery’ by Sudeep Bhat, Service Engineer, JCB Pvt Ltd was also conducted for the students of Mechanical Engineering. Another extension lecture on topic ‘Earth Quake Resistant Material’ was conducted by Dr. Arvind Dewangan, Director YCET for the students of Civil Engineering.
An industrial visit to BSNL Telephone Exchange was also conducted for the students of Electronics and Communication Engineering in which Kishore Kapoor (SDO) and Siddarth Verma (TTA) interacted with the students and apprised them about MDF, DSLAM, Battery Bank, BTS.
Another industrial visit to Mehar Cement Kangrail was also conducted for the students of Civil Engineering.
