JAMMU, Nov 14: A suspected IED was tonight recovered by police adjacent to Phallian Mandal Police Post of Satwari Police Station, close to the International Border.
SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli told the Excelsior that a bag was found close to Phallian Mandal Police Post tonight and material inside seems to be an IED.
The drone dropping isn’t ruled out as the area is close to the International Border, Kohli said.
Police teams rushed to the spot soon after detecting the bag. A Bomb Disposal Squad has also reached there to defuse the explosive device.
A search operation has been launched in the area.
Police teams headed by Phallayan Mandal PP Incharge SI Ajesh Singh Jamwal were conducting searches.
