JAMMU, July 30: Institute of Engineers India, Jammu Local Centre organised extension lecture on “Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS)” at institutional complex Channi Himmat here today.
The lecture was presented by K R Suri , FIE; GM (Retd) Power Grid Corporation of India. Ajay Gupta, FIE; Chairman IEI Jammu Local Centre chaired the technical session. A large number of engineers attended the lecture presented by Mr Suri.
It focused on Gas Insulated Switchgear technology which is nowadays overriding the Air Insulated Switchgear technology. It was followed by question-answer / interaction session. Mohinder Singh, FIE former Hony Secy conducted the proceedings of the seminar.
