JAMMU, Dec 15: IFFCO, under the leadership of Dr. U.S Awasthi, MD IFFCO developed world’s 1st Nano Urea (liquid) to reduce chemical fertilizers consumption and to double farmers’ income by 2022 besides improving soil health with increased crop productivity as envisioned by PM Modi.
DGM Marketing, IFFCO New Delhi, S.S Dalal and Joginder Paul, SMM J&K here today told reporters that Nano Urea (liquid) has been tested on more than 90 crops across 11,000 locations in collaboration with ICAR-KVKS, Research Institutes, State Agriculture Universities and progressive farmers of India.
“On the basis of successful trials, IFFCO Nano Urea has been included in FCO, 1985 by Government of India. Application of 1 bottle of Nano Urea can effectively replace at least 1 bag of Conventional Urea thereby decreasing the requirement of Conventional Urea by 50 per cent,” they said adding that Nano Urea (Liquid) is a unique source of nitrogen and majority of Indian soils are found deficient in available nitrogen and to meet crop nitrogen requirement, Nano Urea offers 85 to 90 per cent efficiency as compared to 30 per cent in conventional urea.
Joginder Paul, SMM J&K (UT) said, Nano Urea (Liquid) can be easily transported and will prove to be boon, especially for the farmers of hilly states like J&K, where transportation cost of bulk fertilizers is very high. “Further, it will save the nation’s crores of rupees on account of fertiliser subsidy,” he maintained adding that IFFCO Nano Urea Liquid enhances Farmers income by 8 to 10 per cent increase in crop productivity and reduction in input cost resulting saving in storage and other cost.
“It can be obtained by farmers from nearest Fertiliser Retail Outlet at Rs. 240 per bottle for 500 ML which is 10 per cent less than the MRP of conventional urea,” DGM Marketing, IFFCO New Delhi, S.S Dalal said adding that it can also be ordered online through IFFCO e-commerce website – www.iffcobazar.in.
