IG Railways holds security review meetings at Vijaypur, Kathua

JAMMU, Dec 28: IGP Railways, J&K, Dr Kamal Saini held a security review meetings at PP GRP Vijaypur and Police Station GRP Kathua and district authorities of Kathua today.
The security review meetings were held in connection with arrival of Red Ribbon Express Train HIV /AIDS awareness programme and forthcoming Republic Day after the recent threats received by railways and in view of the present security scenario of the state.
The IGP also addressed a darbar of jawans at PP GRP Vijaypur and P/S GRP Kathua in which grievances of jawans were redressed on spot. They were also briefed about the security and sensitivity of Railways.
He was accompanied by SP Railways Jammu and SDPO Railways Vijaypur. The The SHO P/S GRP also participated in the meetings. The participants were briefed about the current security scenario and subsequent security measures to be taken for the smooth passage of Red Ribbon Express Train and forthcoming Republic Day.
He stressed the officers to put jawans on alert to retaliate as and when needed and keep their eyes open on suspect elements as the ill intensions of Anti national and anti social elements can’t n be ruled out.
A crime review meeting was also held in which the cases were examined threadbare and necessary instructions were delivered to the investigation officers.
