IGNOU clarifies

Sir,
Please refer to the “Reader Writer” Column of Daily Excelsior 07.08.2019 issue in which there is a plea by one Pawan Sharma, teacher of Udhampur District under the heading “Plea to IGNOU”. In this regard, we wish to reply as follows:-
a) The allotment of Programme Study Centres has already been carried out for all learners of B.Ed. Programme under IGNOU-SSA Project for all districts including District Udhampur. The information regarding allotment of Programme Study Centres (PSCs) has been communicated to all learners through bulk SMS Alerts. Centre-wise lists of learners have been sent to the Directorate of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) for onward dissemination of information to the learners through CEOs and ZEOs concerned. The complete information, District-wise, Zone-wise as well as Centre-wise stands uploaded on RC Website www.ignourcjmu.nic.in as well as National Website www.ignou.ac.in. However, there are a large number of learners who have changed their personal Mobile numbers due to which they remain deprived of vital pieces of information being communicated from IGNOU/SSA/ZEO/CEO from time to time. The learner should immediately get in touch with the ZEO/CEO concerned and also with the SSA authorities.
b) The information related to Schedule of Activities has been prepared by the School of Education, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi in consultation with the SSA authorities which has been circulated among the concerned.
c) As far as receipt of Self Learning Material for second year is concerned, it was decided in the meeting of June 13, 2019 which was convened at IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi in which the Officials from the IGNOU Maidan Garhi, New Delhi, SSA and Directorate of School Education, Govt. of J&K participated, that the material for second year courses will be sent directly from IGNOU HQs. to the Programme Study Centres for the allotted number of learners. The learners need to approach the allotted Programme study Centres (PSCs) for study material of second year courses.
