IGNOU entrance tests on Sept 24

JAMMU, Sept 21: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is conducting entrance tests for Management Programmes (Openmat-XLII), B Sc N (Pb) and B Ed. programmes for the sessions starting from January, 2018 on Sunday 24th September, 2017.
The tests are being organized in 122 Examination Centres accommodating 28,108 candidates across the country.
Under Jammu region, there is only one Examination Centre (Code: 1201) for which the Examination would be held in the Directorate of Distance Education, University of Jammu, New Campus, Jammu.
The Hall-Tickets have already been uploaded on the University website www.ignou.ac.in. The candidates have been advised to download the hall ticket by entering their name / date of birth and report to the Examination Centre. In case candidates are unable to download the Hall-Ticket, they can contact the Regional Centre and obtain the information of Examination Centre allocated and report to the Examination Centre with a proof of submission of Entrance Test application form along with recent passport size photograph.
Meanwhile, the academic session of the Post-Graduate course in Journalism and Mass Communication by the IGNOU is commencing here from September 26.
Regular classes for the new batch of 16 students will be held at the IGNOU Study Centre at Jammu University campus by a team of professionals comprising: O P Sharma, senior journalist and Malu Sharma, a broadcaster.
The students from even far-flung area are getting the benefits of this course for past over 20 years since inception of Regional Centre, Jammu. A number of trained students are active in the print as well as electronic media.
