JAMMU, Nov 26: The students of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) today held a meeting and formed their Union under the name and style IGNOU Students Union, Jammu Kashmir (ISUJK).
On the occasion, the office bearers of the Union were also nominated. They included; Sahil Sharma as president, Rohit Singh Bhau as general secretary, Balbinder Singh as secretary, Dineshwar Singh as vice president, Shafqat Ahmed as joint secretary, Shakeel Amed as spokesperson, Shubam Gupta as cashier; and Ajaz Ahmed, Amit Jamwal, Mushtaq Ahmed, Raiz Ahmed, Mohd Hussain, Gafoor, Rekha Devi, Romesh Singh, Azam Shah, Nawaz Ahmed, Mohd Ashraf, Ajay Singh, Amir Ahmed, Manzoor Ahmed, Mohd Razwan, Amit Jamwal, Mohd Hussain and Mohd Farooq as members.
Earlier, the meeting discussed the problems being faced the student fraternity of IGNOU and dwelt upon the need to forcefully taking up the same with the regional authority of IGNOU. The members flayed the local IGNOU authorities for unnecessary harassment to student community.
