IGP assesses security situation, status of anti militancy operations

KISHTWAR, Apr 4: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh conducted assessment of security situation and status of anti militancy operations at Marwah and interacted with SOG jawans.
IGP also reviewed the crime position and over all functioning of District Police Kishtwar with all supervisory officers including SHOs, investigating officers at DPL Kishtwar this afternoon.
During visit, IGP Jammu Zone was accompanied by Abdul Jabbar DIG DKR Range and Shafqat Hussain SSP Kishtwar.
During his visit, Mukesh Singh interacted with Sanathan Dharam and Majlisai Shura Kishtwar and made an appeal for maintenance of law and order in the district. IGP gave patient hearing to the issues of both communities and assured redressal within shortest possible time. Both members of the communities promised to work for the communal harmony, peace and amity.
Later, some of the Police officers and officials who were awarded DGP’s Commendation Medal were also decorated by the IGP Jammu.
The awardees include Pardeep Singh SDPO Atholi, DyDP DAR Dheeraj Singh Katoch, Inspector Sohan Singh, SgCt Majid, SgCt Rakesh and Follower Mohammad Rafi.
