IGP discusses arrangements for National Police Day function

JAMMU, Oct 12: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh chaired a meeting of senior police officers here today to discuss various arrangements required to be made for the National Police Day popularly known as Police Commemoration Day which is to be observed on 21st October every year throughout the country.
The main function will be held at Police Martyrs Memorial Rail Head, Jammu followed by National Police day Parade at Gulshan Ground, Jammu.
The meeting was attended by SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil, CO SDRF, 2nd Battalion Jammu, SSP Traffic (City) Jammu, Commandant IRP 14th /18th Battalion (Nodal Officers), Staff Officer to IGP Jammu, SSP Crime Jammu, SSP PCR Jammu, SSP Railways Jammu, SSP Security, SSP APCR, SSP Telecom Jammu, SP Police Component Jammu besides all territorial SPs of Jammu District, DySP DAR DPL and DySP Estate Jammu.
During the meeting, the officers were briefed about their assigned duties including security arrangements, traffic arrangements, conduct of the function, parade contingents and about contact with martyrs families and hold police martyrs exhibition.
