IGP enquires about health of cop injured in encounter

JAMMU, Feb 1: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh visited GMC Jammu and enquired about the health and welfare of police constable Bhoom Raj of Police Station Nagrota. He was accompanied by SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Constable Bhoom Raj was injured in an encounter at Ban Toll Plaza Nagrota yesterday was evacuated to GMC Jammu for specialized medical treatment.
Mukesh Singh, IGP Jammu complimented the constable for the bravery displayed by him and other two personnel namely ASI Rajinder Singh and SgCt Kartar Singh, who foiled the nefarious designs of ANEs. He said that J&K Police is proud of them who displayed excellent work.
To boost their morale a Commendation Certificate Class-I alongwith cash prize of Rs 25000 each was given to the policemen on duty.
IGP Jammu was briefed by the hospital authorities about the treatment being administered to the injured cop.
IGP wished him speedy recovery and assured that all help will be provided to him. He said that J&K Police is known for its bravery and sacrifices throughout the country.
