SAMBA, Sept 4: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone Dr SD Singh Jamwal flagged off a group of students of District Samba for Bharat Darshan tour. The tour has been organized by District Police Samba under Civic Action Programme (CAP).
The group of 50 students including 13 girls and 37 boys selected from across the District Samba are participating in the tour under the supervision of police officers of District Police Samba.
On the occasion, IGP Jammu while interacting with the touring students advised them to avail the opportunity by taking best out of this tour as they will be visiting places of historical importance.
Earlier, Dr Koshal Sharma, SSP Samba and Dr Arun Manhas, Additional DC Samba flagged off the tour from Bari Brahmana in presence of police officers of District Samba, parents of the touring students and respectable persons of the District Samba.
In his address to the participant students, SSP Samba said that this tour will provide them new experiences and vast exposure to visiting places that would be really helpful for them in their studies. It will be an educational tour for the students, added SSP Samba.
Two police officers including 1 lady police officer as caretakers are also accompanying the group, which will visit different places during their tour. The tour will be of 5 days and the group will return on September 9.
During tour, the students will visit historical places at New Delhi, Agra, Mathura and Vrindavan. The group will interact with VVIPs, Prominent personalities at New Delhi. The students will also be shown latest mode of transportation i.e metro station to increase their knowledge.
All the lodging, boarding and transport facilities by air have been provided by District Police Samba.
Among others Additional SP Samba, all supervisory officers, SHOs of District Samba and parents of the touring students were present on the occasion.
