IGP interacts with retd NGOs to access their problems

JAMMU, Mar 31: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone Dr SD Singh interacted with the retired NGOs of Police Department in District Police Lines, here today.
The aim of the event was to access the problems being faced by the retired police officials and to take steps for their redressal.
About 150 retired NGOs from all the districts of Jammu Province including few from Kashmir province participated in the interaction.
During interacting, various issues were raised by the retiree NGOs including fixation of pay and release of the same with its retrospective effect, providing of better medical facilities in Police Hospital at Jammu/Srinagar, reimbursement of medical bills for the retired police personnel, cashless health care policy to the retiree on the pattern of para military forces and Army, reservation to the ward of police personnel during recruitment in Police Department and Government jobs, extension of CSD canteen facilities at district level, promotion after 10 years service in one rank and one rank one pension on the pattern of Army.
Dr Singh gave patient hearing of all the problems raised by retired NGOs and assured them that their genuine problems will be taken up at the appropriate level for redressal in a time bound manner.
The interaction was attended by DIG JSK Range, Rafeeq-Ul-Hassan, SSP Jammu, Vivek Gupta, Rajesh Kumar SSP (SO to IGP Jammu Zone), Sandeep Choudhary SP City South, Ajit Singh, Chairman, Non Gazetted Police Pensioners Welfare Forum, etc.
