JAMMU, Sept 4: Under the flagship programme Mini Bharat Darshan, JSK Range Police Jammu has organized a tour programme for students of Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts.
Thirty nine (39) students of Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range were flagged off today by Dr S D Singh Jamwal, Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Jammu, who was chief guest on the occasion.
These students, within the age group of 14 to 20, are visiting Amritsar, Chandigarh and Delhi. During their tour, they will visit places of historical importance and other places of interest in the capital city of Delhi, Chandigarh and Amritsar. During the tour programme, they will also call on Dr Jatinder Singh, MoS in PMO Delhi, Kailash Satyarthi, Noble Peace Prize winner, Commissioner of Police Delhi, Lieutenant Governor Delhi, Rashtarpati Bhawan, prominent schools at Delhi and DLF Mall of India Noida.
On the occasion of flagging off, IGP Jammu Zone was accompanied by Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, Dy Inspector General of Police, JSK Range Jammu (now IGP); Dr Sunil Gupta, SSP Jammu; Rajesh Sharma, SO to IGP Jammu Zone; Rajnish Pran Sharma, SSP SO to DIG Jammu; Parshotam Lal Sharma, DDP RPHQ and other territorial officers of district Jammu.
During interaction with the students, the IGP Jammu Zone emphasized that students should take best out of this tour as only few get chance of such kind of visits. With this kind of exposure, they will become more confident and also gain knowledge, he added.
