IGP Jammu holds introductory meet with Jammu Zone police officers

JAMMU, Oct 10: In his debutant meeting with the Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) of Police, and Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) of Jammu Division, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, reviewed the crime pattern of different districts and asked the senior police officers for better public relations in their respective districts.
He also emphasized to adopt measures to deal drug menace stringently and directed the officers present in the meeting to infuse extraordinary efforts to put kingpins of the drug smuggling behind the bars.
He also directed the officers to remain alert and vigilant and adopt a foolproof security system to neutralize any terrorist activity in their area of responsibility.
He stressed upon the District SSPs to reach out to the common people in the remote and border areas and seeks their valuable cooperation and assistance curbing the menace of infiltration and checking the movement of terrorists. He also asked the police officers to ensure that communal harmony and brotherhood is maintained in their districts.
The IGP Jammu further asked the officers to remain extra vigilant against any threat from terrorists and other anti-social elements.
The range DIGs gave a detailed introduction regarding the day-to-today policing in their respective ranges.
Besides, all the police officers assured the IGP that they will do their best to achieve the targets.
