JAMMU, Feb 17: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen Tuti, conducted a late-night inspection of security arrangements along the Ring Road, accompanied by DIG JSK Range.
The inspection focused on reviewing personnel deployment, security measures, and overall law enforcement preparedness in the area.
During the visit, the IGP interacted with officers on duty, discussing operational challenges and requirements.
He emphasized the need for proactive policing and strict enforcement of security measures to ensure the safety of the local population and maintain smooth law enforcement operations.
The IGP assessed the effectiveness of patrolling, traffic management, and security measures along the ring road, highlighting the importance of a robust policing system in areas with heavy traffic and strategic significance.
He expressed satisfaction with the current arrangements but urged continuous vigilance and improvements in policing strategies. Ongoing efforts are being made to enhance real-time monitoring and response systems.
In addition, the IGP visited the Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) in Kathua district to review security arrangements.
He was joined by senior officers from the Army, Paramilitary forces, and local police.
The IGP evaluated operational readiness, coordination between agencies, and the overall security situation at these strategic locations.
