IGP Jammu Zone reviews security scenario

UDHAMPUR, Mar 27: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone Danish Rana today reviewed security scenario here during a meeting at District Police Lines (DPL) Udhampur.
The meeting was attended by Surinder Kumar Gupta, Dy Inspector General of Police Udhampur Reasi Range, Mohammad Suleman Choudhary, SSP Udhampur and all the supervisory police officers/ prosecution officers of district Udhampur.
At the outset, SSP Udhampur presented a detailed power point presentation on almost all the aspects of policing with regard to district Udhampur.
SSP apprised IGP Jammu Zone about the demographic/detail law and order situation, militancy scenario, infrastructural position of district police Udhampur.
Thereafter all the Sub Divisions Police Officers (SDPOs) presented core policing related issues of their respective Sub Divisions before IGP Jammu Zone followed by an overall preview by DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range.
IGP patiently listened all the issues presented by DIG, SSP and SDPOs and issued on the spot directions with regard to some issues of concern like optimum use of manpower, strong anti militancy grid, closely monitoring all the policing work by the supervisory officers, especially in the core territorial units like police stations, police posts/picket, police nakas, operational components etc, polite but firm attitude of police while dealing with general public, quick and instant logical response to the grievances of general public and curbing the menace of narcotic/ bovine smuggling, hawala trade etc. by way of cultivating reliable sources for generating reliable inputs etc.
IGP impressed the participants to extend all possible support and assistance to the subordinate formations as and when required in the service of general public.
