SRINAGAR, Oct 10: Inspector General of Police (IGP), Swayam Prakash Pani today promoted 236 Head Constables to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspectors here today.
A Police spokesman said that on the directions of DGP, Dilbag Singh, a Departmental Promotion Committee met under the chairmanship of Swayam Prakash Pani, IGP Kashmir Zone, for promotion of Head Constables to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspectors of Executive Wing of J&K Police having lien and seniority with Kashmir Zone.
He said the DPC cleared promotion cases of 236 Head Constables and promoted them to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspectors.
