Srinagar, June 10: Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Munir Ahmad Khan today visited Drug De-addiction Centre (DDC) and printing press in Police Control Room (PCR) complex here and took stock of functioning of these units today.
A police spokesman said on his visit to the police DDC, the IGP interacted with the recovering patients and their parents. While interacting with the parents he advised them to spend quality time with their children, saying that communication gap leads to behavioural problems in children.
He also advised the recovering patients to take full advantages of counselling and other facilities and get themselves out of use of the drugs, the spokesman said, adding that the IGP further assured the patients for up-gradation of Gym facilities in the centre.
“He also interacted with the staff members of the centre and expressed his satisfaction over the functioning of centre. He took note of the issues of staff members and assured them for quick redressal. Later, IGP visited the police printing press and took stock of its functioning,” the spokesman added.
