IGP Railways reviews security of trains, track

JAMMU, May 23: M  Sulaiman Salaria, IGP Railways J&K today reviewed security of trains, tracks, Railway Stations and other vital installations besides the passengers.
He visited GRP jurisdiction from PP GRP Bari Brahmana to Ghagwal and Ghagwal to Kathua in two phases for security review and held darbar of officers and jawans.
While interacting with the officers and jawans, the IGP cautioned that that in view of previous infiltrations on the International Border and recent fidayeen attacks close to Railway track, acts of sabotage and cross border terrorism at Railway tracks, Railway Stations and running trains cannot be ruled out.
He asked the Jawans to remain extra alert in their area of responsibility and to keep an eagle eye at Railway tracks, railway stations and in running trains located parallel and in close proximity to the International Border.
The darbar at Ghagwal was attended by the Jawans and officers from Bari Brahmana to Ghagwal and the darbar ay Kathua was attended of jawans and officers from Ghagwal to Kathua.
Suram Singh, SP Railways, Jammu;  Pawan Kumar SDPO Railways Vijaypur;   Davinder Singh, SDPO Railways Jammu along with jurisdictional NGOs and jawans of GRP Jammu were present in the Darbars wherein ample opportunity was provided to the Jawans  and  officers to put forth their problems.
The problems were heard patiently and on the spot redressal was made.
