Srinagar, Mar 24: Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, SJM Gillani today visited District Police Lines, Srinagar and took stock of the functioning of different sections of the District Police. This was the first such visit by the IGP after assuming charge of the zone last week.
On this occasion the Inspector General of Police, SJM Gillani impressed upon the officials of the District police to improvise the functioning of day-to-day policing so that the quality of services rendered by the Police Department to general public can be elevated. The IGP Kashmir interacted with the heads of the various sections including DPL main office, MHC, Equipments store, Clothing store , Armory, MT, Mess, canteen. He also visited Gymnasium and barracks of constabulary.
Ghulam Hassan Bhat DIG Central Kashmir, Amit Kumar SSP Srinagar, Waseem Qadri SP headquarters accompanied IGP during the visit today.
