IGP seeks people’s cooperation for curbing crime

JAMMU, June 15: With an aim to have first hand information about the prevailing security, law and order scenario and supervise the functioning of District Police, Inspector General of Police Jammu-Zone, S D Singh, visited District Police Lines Rajouri.
The highlight of the visit was interaction with the prominent citizen of Rajouri which was followed by Iftaar party. During his interaction with the public, various issues related with security, law and order and crime scenario of Rajouri district were highlighted.
IGP Jammu called upon the members of civil society and representative of various committees to maintain traditional peace and communal harmony in the district and also cooperate with police for curbing crime. A darbar of officers and men was also held at district Police Lines Rajouri.

During Grievance Redressal Camp of police personnel at DPL Rajouri, the IGP listened to various issues projected by the police personnel. He informed the police personnel that most of their projections were already under the active consideration and regarding other grievances same will be addressed in a time bound manner at appropriate level.
After Grievance Redressal Camp, the IGP also held a review meeting on Crime and Security arrangements in district Rajouri, with all the supervisory officers / all SHOs and discussed various matters pertaining to basic policing. The officers were directed to maintain law and order situation in their respective jurisdictions and ready to meet the future challenges etc.
While speaking on the occasion,   IGP impressed upon the police personnel to work with sincerity, dedication and maintain good police-public relations.
Earlier in his welcome address, SSP Rajouri, Yougal Manhas highlighted the achievements of District Police Rajouri. Deepak Kumar Slathia,  DIGP R-P Range,  Mohd Yousif,  ASP Rajouri,  Atul Sharma, ASP Nowshera, CPO Courts  Maqbool Hussain, Commandant CRPF-72 BN, SDPOs and other gazetted officers and all SHOs of district Rajouri were present on the occasion.
