IGP visits remote areas, checks counter infiltration grid on LoC

JAMMU, Nov 23: To review prevailing  security situation and anti-militancy operation launched by the  police personnel in the remote areas of various places in the Jammu Zone, Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone, Dilbag Singh accompanied by Danesh Rana, DIG R-P Range and Mubassir Latifi, Superintendent of Police, Rajouri.   today visited  Sunderbani, Nowshera, Rajouri, Thanamandi and Shahdara Sharief.
Mr .Singh  reviewed law and order situation in the area. He appreciated the role of Police/Security personnel involved in anti-militancy operation and maintaining  internal law and order and directed them to avoid collateral damage during the operation. He also directed them for prompt response and action to the public problems and grievances.
IGP also met with local people and listened to their problems and had inputs regarding suspicious movement in the area. People assured him of their full cooperation to the security forces.
IGP visited various Police Stations and Police Posts of District Rajouri and checked various measures put in place for effective counter infiltration. He visited Police Station Sunderbani, Nowshera, Rajouri, Police Post Chingus, Police Station Thanamandi and Police Post Shahdara Sharief. While interacting with officers and jawans at these Police Stations and Police Posts, he emphasized to work with dedication and integrity and have a closer rapport with the public.
He emphasized on professional investigation of the cases, tracing out of absconders and missing persons and also to provide service to the public like passport and service verification at their doorsteps in minimum possible time
He inaugurated the newly constructed SHO residence building in Nowshera. He  also inspected various under construction buildings for officer and jawans at these Police units. He also visited LoC to check various measures put in place for counter infiltration.
