Frequent hartal calls have not yielded any good for people of Kashmir during the last 20 years of militancy. It rather has compounded the problems of people further. Which section of the society has not suffered due to these shutdowns other than seperatists. The hartals give them a chance to remain in memory of people who get hit due to hartals.
Seperatists want a pretext to play politics and are not bothered about its results. It no way affected President of India Pranab Mukherjee who chose Kashmir as first place after being elected as President of the country. He had made a promise during his election campaign that he would visit Kashmir first as the President of India and he lived by that promise.
Seperatists should once again think over hartal culture which is affecting the State in one way or the other.
