IILM students selected for NASA Rover Challenge 2014

NEW DELHI, Nov 30:
A five-member team of students from IILM College of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida has been selected among one of the teams to represent India at the NASA Rover Challenge 2014 in USA in April next year.
The team comprising of Aastha Singh, Awatansh Srivastava, Anshu Roy, Brijesh Kumar Rai and Lalit Kumar are all final Year B Tech students of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering.
The team during the competition will have to fabricate a prototype ‘Moonbuggy’ and demonstrate its viability to the team at NASA.
If their model is found to be successful and selected, then this prototype will be launched on Moon by the next mission from NASA, said a statement issued on behalf of the college.
Three other teams from the country will also participate in the competition, which will be held on April 10-12. (PTI)
