JAMMU, Dec 13: IIM Jammu’s Foundation for Entrepreneurship Innovation and Skill Development organized an IPR (Patent) workshop for the benefit of the student and teaching fraternity , here today at its Canal Road Campus.
The session was organized in association with National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission (NIPAM). The session was conducted by Divyendu Jha, a resource person from NIPAM, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt of India. The welcome note was delivered by Dr Prateek Jain, Chairperson, Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, IIM Jammu.
Divyendu Jha spoke about various aspects of the IPR with special reference to Patenting and Geographical Indications. During his interaction, he put forward the simple and hassle-free process of making applications to the Patent office at a very low fee. He motivated the participants to make their own applications and participate in the innovation mission of Govt of India ( GoI).
The session was also attended by faculty members of other degree colleges in Jammu. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Vivek Sharma, Chief Innovation Officer, IIM Jammu.
