JAMMU, June 1: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu organized a webinar on “Leadership: Thriving Through Crisis.”
The speaker for the session was the former Director IIM Indore, Dr Sat Parashar. He is currently Adjunct faculty in the area of money and banking at Rady School of Management, University of California, San Diego.
“We are currently experiencing an unprecedented economic and health crisis due to COVID-19 and it’s no secret that every sector has been affected in ways no one predicted. Leaders currently are expected to facilitate and empower others to be leaders so that they make the best possible use of this situation for their own growth and well-being as well as of others,” said Dr Sat Parashar.
Dr Parashar talked about how leadership is going to be tested in this tough situation and how they will evolve. He also discussed the ways in which the leaders would have to lead in the new normal tomorrow. “We need to understand the 3T rule which is ‘Trust, Transparency and Tool’. There has to be trust among the leaders and the subordinates, there has to be complete transparency and all the required tools to come out of this in the best ways,” he mentioned.
