Srinagar, Dec 20: Indian Institute of Mass Communication team distributed blankets as relief among flood-hit victims across Kashmir.
The team said the relief has been sent by the Indian Farmers Fertilizers Cooperative (IFFCO) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Of the 45,000 blankets, the team has distributed 25,000 blankets in Kulgam, Anantnag, Budgam, Srinagar, Baramulla and Bandipora districts.
It said the remaining 20,000 blankets will be distributed among needy flood victims in Srinagar, Pulwama, and other districts which were severely affected by floods in September.
To distribute the relief in a transparent way, the team said they are coordinating with Masjid Committees in the flood affected areas.
The team has also appealed the businessmen and other industrialists to donate relief under CSR so that flood victims do not have to suffer in the harsh winter in the Valley.
