IIPA JKRB declared 2nd best branch in India

JAMMU, Nov 2: Indian Institute of Public Administration, JK Regional Branch (IIPA JKRB) has been declared as the 2nd best performing branch in the country during the recently held 67th Annual Meeting of the general body of the IIPA, New Delhi.
The J&K Regional Branch of IIPA came into existence in the year 1978 and since then, it emerged as one of the top performing branches in the country on account of its consistent performance.
During the AGM, AM Watali IPS (Retd) and Executive Committee Member of IIPA J&K Regional Branch was awarded Paul H. Appleby Award for distinguished service to IIPA and to the Public Administration in the country. The award was given by the Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu during the AGM. The award has been instituted by the IIPA in the name of Dean Paul H. Appleby, on whose recommendation the Institute was established in 1954.
Previous recipients of the award from J&K include NN Vohra, former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Karan Singh, Member Parliament, Veeranna Aivalli, former DG J&K Police, Dr Ashok Bhan IPS (Retd) former DG Police and Patron of IIPA J&K Regional Branch, Dr SS Bloeria, IAS (Retd) Former Chief Secretary J&K Govt and Former Chairman and Patron of IIPA J&K Regional Branch and Er. JBS Johar, Vice-Chairman, IIPA JKRB.
Dr Ashok Bhan, Patron, IIPA, J&K Regional Branch and BR Sharma, Chairman, IIPA, J&K Regional Branch congratulated the office bearers, members of the executive committee and all the life members for this achievement of the branch.
