JAMMU, Aug 16: The latest B-School rankings to hit the stands, DNA Best B-Schools of India has once again proved the growing gesture of the Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM), as a top ten B-Schools in India.
IIPM was ranked No 6 overall. However in its international exposure, CSR, placement and Industry interface rankings where IIPM got ranked 1, 1, 10 and 6. While in the last decade or so IIPM’s climb up ladder in factors like global exposure, placements and industry interface have been well known, it is the CSR ranking that has brought to light this institution’s human face in light, said Dean, IIPM, Prof Arindam Chaudhuri.
Expressing his delight with IIPM’s latest achievement, he said, “None of the rankings ever focused on this very important parameter in past, so it never got highlighted but IIPM has always been a frontrunner when it comes to CSR”.
About the objectives of the Institution, he said that the objectives of IIPM have always included a huge focus on National Economic Planning in order to reorient growth in favour of the marginalized sections of the society. IIPM’s social initiatives are ahead of any B-School perhaps globally as it sought to dispel the myopic notion that management is only about enriching bottom-lines of companies, he said adding not only this IIPM amalgamates social commitments through their course curriculum but also goes beyond the classroom to work at the grass root level.
