JAMMU, Oct 11: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu hosted a significant development dialogue event, underscoring the institute’s commitment to the Government of India’s ambitious vision of a Viksit Bharat@2047.
The event, held at Shri Ranbir Campus in Kot Bhalwal, Jammu, featured prominent speakers, including Satish Kumar, an accomplished electrical engineer and a distinguished social worker, and Professor Shreedhar Mishra, Director, Central Sanskrit University.
Satish Kumar, renowned for his contributions in the electrical engineering and social welfare, delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing India’s potential to transform into a $40 trillion economy, drawing a comparison with the United States.
He highlighted India’s youthful demographic advantage and stressed the importance of investing in science and technology for the nation’s development.
The development dialogue fostered in-depth discussions and the exchange of ideas that are integral to India’s journey towards a prosperous, inclusive society. The human-centric approach was identified as the linchpin of India’s developmental trajectory.
In his concluding remarks, Satish Kumar invoked the timeless message of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” emphasizing global cooperation and harmony in India’s pursuit of progress on the world stage.
Prof Manoj Agarwal and Dr Arun Kumar Verma also graced the occasion, aligning the event with the overarching vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 and highlighting the crucial role of academic institutions in shaping the nation’s future.
