JAMMU, Dec 20: IIT Jammu organized an interaction of school students with a visiting delegation from United Kingdom, here today at its campus.
‘The event was organized by IIT Jammu’s Outreach Section, led by Dean of Continuing Education Prof Abhay Sharma and Associate Dean Dr Nalin Sharma.
Around 200 students and teachers from Higher Secondary School, Sumwan, district Kathua, visited the IIT and interacted with the delegation from Ulster University, UK, comprising Dr Dermot Kerr, Prof Sonya Coleman, and Dr Deepika Nikam.
The UK delegation interacted with the students, sharing insights into their research in robotics. The visiting students toured the IIT Jammu campus, exploring modern classrooms and advanced laboratories, providing them with a firsthand experience of the institute’s state-of-the-art facilities.
IIT Jammu’s final-year student, Ranjeet Raj, shared valuable insights into the diverse academic opportunities available at the institute.
This visit was aimed to ignite academic curiosity among the students and inspire them to pursue higher education and innovative research in the future.
