MENDHAR, Dec 22: The Revenue and Police team in a joint operation today removed illegal construction on Government land at village Salwah Tehsil Mendhar in Poonch district.
Official sources said that on the direction of Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inderjeet Singh under the supervision of SDM Mendhar, Dr Sahil Jandyal headed by Tehsildar Mendhar Gourav Sharma, Naib Tehsildar Chhatral along with field staff and Police team reached the spot on Wednesday at around 2 PM and dismantled illegally construction by Mohd Farooq , son of Mohd Afsar, residence of Salwah on Kahcharai land bearing Khasra No.230 at village Salwah. The team using JCB dismantled the structure and cleared the State land.
Giving strict instructions to the all the villagers, Tehsildar Mendhar said that from today onwards, if anyone does illegal construction work on Government land, legal action will be taken against him.
