KATHUA, Nov 26: A stone crusher was sealed by the District Administration, Kathua for it illegal operation in Nagri area of the district late this evening.
Official sources said that on the basis of public complaints, Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rohit Khajuria directed Tehsildar Nagri Surinder Kour and District Mineral Officer Kathua, Bodh Raj to organize a raid and seal the unit along with Genset installed there.
It was reported to the Deputy Commissioner that one M/s SK Stone Crusher, situated near village Pandori at the bank of river Ujh, in border area of Nagri was operating illegally. It was learnt that this unit had been sealed by a team led by DC Kathua himself about a week ago but the owner managed Genset and started illegal operation during night hours hardly four days back. The team had also snapped its power supply connection.
The joint team assisted by police raided the unit at round 8.45 pm tonight and sealed the unit along with Genset. A fresh case was registered against the owner of the unit under relevant sections. Two vehicles parked at the unit also stand seized by the team.
