MENDHAR, July 25: The police and local administration in joint operation removed an illegal concrete structure raised overnight by a local on nearly 2 marla disputed land here today.
After receiving public complaints and sensing law and order problem, the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Tehsildar and the SDPO Mendhar along with some police force rushed to the spot razed the structure erected by one Kaleem Khan on a disputed piece of land. The members of the affected party and their relatives also held protest demonstration against the authorities and tried to create violence but the police force controlled the situation.
Later DC and SP Poonch also visited the town and held meeting with the rival and affected parties and debarred them from raising any further construction there. Some force was also deployed at the site to restrain the elements involved in illegal activity.
