Reasi, Nov 20: In its drive against illicit liquor, Police today raided a house in Mahore and seized 94 poly pouches of J&K Excise liquor.
Police also arrested the house owner, namely Abdul Hamid and his two sisters in law, who were running the liquor smuggling network in the area.
Acting on a specific information, a Police team headed by SHO Mahore, Inspector Romal Singh, under the supervision of SDPO Ayaz Ahmed, conducted a raid in the house of Abdul Hamid. During checking, 93 poly pouches of J&K excise liquor (60 poly pouches of 375/375 ml each and 33 Poly pouches of 250/250 ml each) were recovered from the possession of Abdul Hamid Kawadi, Shamshad wife of Mohd Ashraf and Zarina Bano wife of Mumtaz Ahmed, all residents of Mahore.
All the accused were arrested and recovered poly pouches of liquor were seized. In this connection, a case FIR No. 127/2015 U/S 48-A Act has been registered at Police Station Mahore.
