UDHAMPUR, Aug 9: Udhampur Police today seized 55 pouches of illicit liquor from a bootlegger, who was intercepted during a surprise checking at Roun Domail.
The Police party of PP Roun Domail, led by SI Khyati Maan Khajuria, intercepted the accused, namely Rakesh Kumar of Tanal in Udhampur District, who was carrying poly pouches of illicit liquor.
Police arrested the accused and seized the recovered liquor. In this connection, a case under Section 48A Excise Act was also registered in Police Station Udhampur for further investigation.
