Rajouri, Jan 7: Police in Nowshera sub division of Rajouri district seized illegally kept liquor meant for sale among people.
Police said that a team headed by PSI Arun Singh under the supervision of SHO Nowshera Rajesh Jasrotia was on routine patrolling in Nonial village area of Nowshera where surprise inspection was conducted in a food counter where a consignment of liquor was found kept illegally by counter owner for sale among local people.
Four litres of illicit liquor (Desi liquor) was seized from the spot alongwith some utensils meant for consumption. A manhunt is going on to nab the counter owner who escaped from the spot before police raid.
Police has registered a case in FIR 05/2022 under 48-a,f Excise Act.
