SRINAGAR, Mar 11: Police in Bandipora district of North Kashmir today recovered a large quantity of illicit timber from a residential house.
A senior police officer posted at Bandipora police station said that they raided the house of Mohammad Subhan at Kudara in the district and recovered 109 square feet timber.
“We have launched investigation into the matter and have registered a case under FIR number 35/2016 under Section 379 (6 forestry act). Preliminary probe suggest involvement of some Forest Department officials,” the officer added.
