SRINAGAR, Apr 20: Aiming to curb the illegal trade of forest resources, police in Handwara today seized 28 illegally felled timber logs.
Acting on specific information, a police party from PS Handwara conducted raids at two locations in the Darashpora area of Handwara, police said.
“During the operation, a total of 28 illegally felled timber logs were seized on the spot.”
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 80/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Handwara and investigation is underway.
