KATHUA Sept 17: In continuation to stringent action against illicit liquor menace, Kathua Police cracked down on illegal illicit liquor trade at Village Khanpur, seized 25 litres of illicit liquor and destroyed 200 litres of lahan on the spot.
Acting on a tipoff , Police team of Police Station Rajbagh during a raid at Village Khanpur in the jurisdiction of Police Station, Rajbagh seized 25 litres of illicit liquor in illegal possession of Vicky, S/o Ram Chand, R/o Banyari, Marheen Kathua. Police team destroyed 200 litres of lahan along with makeshift production unit on the spot.
Police Station, Rajbagh registered a case FIR No 173/2019 U/s 48(f) and started investigation into the case.
Kathua Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace. “We request people of the area to come forward and share information about drug peddling or consumption on with Police for the cause. Your identity will be kept confidential”, police said.
