Christ School celebrates Annual Day

NOWSHERA, May 7: Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary and spokesperson Ravinder Sharma (MLC) has impressed upon the educational institutions to impart quality and value based education to the children.
Addressing a gathering of students, parents and staff of Christ School Lamberi in Nowshera at the annual day function today, Mr Sharma said that childhood is the best time to shape the emotions and feelings of the students and they should be taught about their rights and duties towards the nation. The social evils of corruption, dowry and female foeticide should be removed from the society as these are curse for the present day in the country which is becoming a great economic power in the world.
The Congress leader said that corruption is growing challenge before the nation and we have to win this battle also otherwise there would be great threat to our existence. He also appreciated the performance of the school in the area.
SDM Nowshera, Rajinder Khajuria, ASP Nowshera P L Sharma and SDPO Nowshera , Pardeep Singh were the guests of honour. Principal of the institution also addressed the gathering. Children of the school presented a cultural programme. Later, prizes were distributed among the best performers.
