RAJOURI, Mar 25: In a case of impersonation, a boy was held for appearing in place of a candidate in the Class 10th Board examination at Planger area of Thannamandi tehsil of Rajouri district, here today.
The accused was caught red handed and arrested by the Police, though released later on by a juvenile court after bail.
According to the information received from SHO Thannamandi, Insp Mohd Shoket, the case came to light during class 10th examination at center number 185029 in Government Higher Secondary School, Planger village of Thannamandi, where an impersonator was appearing in the exam in place of a regular candidate.
Taking cognizance of a written complaint in this regard by the Exam Superintendent, the police arrested the accused besides registering a case FIR number 23/2023, under section 419/420 of IPC in this connection.
As the arrested accused is a juvenile, he was produced before the Juvenile Court, which granted him bail.
