JAMMU, July 31: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) held a meeting here today and demanded implementation of Mandal Commission report in J&K.
The meeting was chaired by Union president, Abdul Majid Malik wherein the speakers claimed that in 1992 BJP with the help of Congress opposed Mandal report.
They said that Prime Minister Modi who is also from OBC category has also not implemented Mandal report in J&K even after the abrogation of Article 370.
The speakers claimed that BJP is befooling OBCs using concocted stories of technical problem and demanded implementation of 27 per cent OBC quota in NEET.
They appealed the Prime Minister to immediately implement the due quota of OBCs in J&K by changing the nomenclature from OSC to OBC.
Kewal Krishan Fotra, Raj Kumar, Prem Kumar, Balkar Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Jagdish Verma, M.R Bangotra, Prof Kali Dass and others were also present in the meeting.
